I think my domain name is being used by a third party to send spam e-mails. How do I stop it?

Email software allows one to put any address they want as the sender of the email. This is a popular tool in the arsenal of spammers, as they can pretend to be somebody else.

To know if your hosting account is being used to send spam, check the Received: header for a server with hosting-nation.com or hosting-nation.net (or your domain) in it. If you see one of those names, the email is OK. If you don't see one of those names, the email was sent from some other server in some other part of the world.
