When I transfer my domain, will my site go down? Will the DNS change, do you delete the nameservers?

When you transfer your domain, if you have selected to have the registrant data change, that will update per your request.  Otherwise, nothing will change with your domain registrant details, and we will not change your nameservers.  Therefore all settings remain the same, your website continues to resolve, and there is no downtime. You can transfer your domain and feel confident that your website will NOT go down when you transfer the domain.

We do not change the DNS when you transfer the domain. 

If you want to use Domains With Us nameservers, you can change that once the domain is in your account.  Then you will have full use of our DNS control panel.

To change name servers:

• Choose menu option Domain Management
• Click on the 'm' button next to the domain name you wish to update
• Click on Change Nameservers
• Use Default nameservers and submit
